I've been on teams that undervalued relationships and I've been on teams led by empathetic leaders that prioritized relationships. Everyone deserves the latter. My goal is to help the leader who's struggling to connect.
While my career has provided me with incredible experiences in D&I integration, program creation, project management, and training and development, I know how it feels to be disengaged and unfulfilled. When connections are strong, people are loyal, productive, and the best versions of themselves. We must be a champion for all employees to be heard, valued, and in stable environments made for them to thrive.
Shalynne is an amazing leader who exudes authenticity, empathy, and knowledge of the business. She has the ability to dive into difficult conversations with grace ensuring others are heard and respected. Shalynne brings a deep understanding, knowledge, and tools of diversity, equity, and inclusion to everything she does and is able to help others enhance their DEI journey improving the places where we work.
We engaged Shalynne as a D&I consultant based on a recommendation. She helped us develop a D&I survey, training, and ultimately a 3-5 year D&I plan. Shalynne was an amazing partner during this process. She took the time to really understand us and how to best approach the start of our journey. Every step of the way, Shalynne provided a kind, knowledgeable, passionate, encouraging, and empathetic approach which motivated me and the others who worked with her. Today, I consider her not simply a consultant, but a true partner and confidant in our D&I journey. I could not be happier.
Shalynne Jackson is a highly skilled facilitator and trainer who is well-versed in all aspects of diversity, equity, and inclusion work. She has been invaluable in educating and shepherding me during the process of developing a cultural competence program for the Tulsa Police Department. I’m proud to call her a mentor in my DEI journey as a white male.
Shae navigates through difficult discussions with grace and compassion, yet what I admire most is her courage to say things that need to be said, but says it in a way that people really hear what she is saying. Her positive attitude and big smile is just the icing on the cake to her great work ethic!
